About Me: I had not worked out in over 20 years...fell victim to all of the trappings that come with marriage, children, career, etc. Too many excuses and i used them all! I woke up at age 42 and realized that who i had become was not who i was! This was not a mid-life crisis, but it kind of smelled like one. My wife and i divorced amicably after 21 years of marriage. An unhappy marriage had changed us both and we needed to fix it for ourselves and our two sons (Taylor age 21 and Chase age 19). The first selfish thing i did for myself (not for my wife, not for my kids, not for my career) in over 20 years was to start working out again. I started working out on my birthday almost two years ago and have been doing the normal workout stuff for that period of time. I am NOT here just to give myself stories to tell my 40-something guy friends...crazy place, sadistic workouts, assorted characters, yada yada. Although they do think most of what i do tell them is pretty crazy! I am here to take fitness to a whole new level in my life. To give myself the capacity to pursue any athletic venture that i might choose without concern of my age or whatever physical malady may be the accepted norm for a 40+ guy. I want to begin a quest that will last a lifetime. I want to be healthy and ACTIVE for my two sons and EVENTUALLY a woman in my life. I want to live life with no limitations! I want to be around like-minded people who as different as we all can be still share passion for fitness. I want to be pushed physically and mentally and i want to eventually be at a fitness level that will allow me to push others. I want to be challenged and to challenge.
Short Term Goals: Get as fit as a 45 (about to be 46) year old dude can get in three months! 1.) Get comfortable with all of the olympic lifts. 2.) Work on improved flexibility. 3.) Get stronger each day. 4.) Get the diet under control. 5.) Improve overall fitness level noticeably. 6.) GET MY SEXY ON!!
