If you haven't heard by now, Chase obliterated the competition this weekend. Remarkable, inspiring and an ensuing list of inadequate adjectives describe his performance this weekend. It was amazing an experience to witness the caliber of competitiveness Chase brought to bear, along with all the other competitors. There was a significant element of strength and physical fitness, but also an incredible level of fortitude and determination.
Chase beat the best time in the second WOD by not 1, 2 or 3 seconds but 30 seconds, almost 15% better than any other athlete. It hurts to push that hard, and you have to be BOTH physically AND mentally prepared. As athletes, we need to figure out how to push that hard every workout to achieve our potential.
Chase, Spencer, Dean, Colin, Mike, JJ, Bobby, Eric, Tyler, Grant, Jeff, Jen, Erin, Jules, Dee, Mel, Mere, Vic, Michelle, and whoever I left off. thanks for the sweat, thanks for the blood, thanks for the tears, and most of all thanks for the example of how it is to be done!
Good Night
CFDC - Domination at it's finest.
Congrats to everyone! I'll be there at regionals to help cheer you guys on.
I don't know where to begin....
First- I want to thank our coaches. They prepared, supported us, and competed. (I am not sure how many people know. But Sam Nix, ran 25K in a race Saturday morning, came in 7th overall, hopped in his car, and drove straight over to Tulsa. That says a lot!)
Second- To my fellow athletes- Amazing! Ladies- each one of you are an inspiration. I am stronger because of you all. We had 7 girls who entered sectionals, and each one qualified for regionals. Now, that says something! Gentleman- very impressive.
Third- Thank you for everyone who came out to cheer for us. My mother was in awe of the fact that we had so many people who drove up there to support us in every aspect, from Sam Z. getting up early to make sure that he was at Sports Authority at 8AM to buy us tape and chalk, to the strong cheers that we had going in each heat. Oh, let me not forget the support that we had from anyone who couldn't attend. I couldn't tell you how many texts I got from people people staying up to date with the results. I think it was just two minutes after my first WOD that I got a little message from Styles (Noah) with some inspirational words.
Fourth- CFDC community. Each and everyday WE ALL walk into the box, bust our bottoms, push each other, and most importantly had each other accountable. It is because of the box that the sectional athletes did what they did!
This weekend was crazy. There are so many memories that I will take away from the past few days, from all the guys gathering around Michelle in the first WOD, Julz busting her bottom despite being sick (might I add rockin' it in shorts:)), to my little mother who was YELLING at Chase, Dean, and Spencer in the last WOD to keep on moving.
I am so proud to be part of a such a remarkable group. We had such a grand presence at sectionals. And, each and every athlete performed with grace and guts. I believe that's CFDC style.
Vic Vic Victoria!
Do it right, do it with style, do it with class, do it TOGETHER. That's how CFDC rolls.
to expand on victoria's comment...

You sendin' The Wolf.... that's all you had to say.
Dean - truth
Again, great performances all-around this weekend, guys and girls.
DL - 7 @ 185
Run - (Not sure where the "2100m intervals" name comes from -- we dropped the 800m at the 6am) 10:17 w/ Brett
Burpees - 2:04 w/ Brett
Couldn't have said it any better than Deaan.
Crushed I missed this weekend but couldn't be more proud of everyone at the box; from our athletes that competed and our athletes that went to support and cheer everyone on. It is what separates us apart from all the other boxes, not only in our section or region, but in the country!
The scary thing is that I don't think that we have even begun to unleash our full potential as a box and look where we are. Keep moving, keep working, keep pushing and there is nothing that our competitors and our box can't do.
I honestly do not have words to truly describe how this past weekend made me feel. I am so humbled by this weekend experience. To compete with some of the best athletes in our area was amazing. I never really saw myself as a true competitive Crossfitter...that image is no longer. The guys did great...we knew they would represent, fight hard, and get it done. But to the Ladies of CFDC- this is where my heart truly lied this weekend. I could not have done this without the pushing and cheering of that ladies of CFDC...and not just the athletes (who were amazing to watch, train with, and cheer for) but for the Carrie, Carin, Julie B., Barbie, Rachel, JoDee, and my partner in crime EBooth!!!
This box has a life of it's own and I continually thank God that this is where i call home. This was one of the most empowering weekends of my life. And i'm just so grateful I was brave enough to fight till the end...to those of you one the fence of competing...taking your Crossfitting to the next level. Just do it. It's the best thing that could ever happen to your life!
All my love to my amazing Crossfit family! I can't thank you all individually here but I'll do my best over the week. I'm off to London today so I'll see you guys when i get back next week!
Crap - forgot to address two more things (busy blog morning)
1. Samuel Theodore Nix - good run
2. I may have a new favorite* SP Rooster quote... Discussing the fact that the Roosters set the bar for the rest of the day by writing times on the board, SP told us we were "Pioneers....no, ASTRONAUTS OF EXERCISE." Genius
*I can only have new favorite SP quotes because saying "And good to you" after each good morning rep is in the hall of fame.
I'm proud of all our athletes and coaches at CFDC. You provide an inspiring and motivating atmosphere to push our limits.

The CFDC middle management would like to make the following warning and disclaimer:
'twinkie' consumption (as well as bread, sprees, grandma's cookies, & gatorade) carries a high level of risk and is in no way advocated in accordance with competition performance or overall awesomeness and could quite possibly lead to serious injury or death.
I woke up this morning and despite that fact that I could bearly move my legs, my heart felt elated! Words can't describe the way that I felt the last few seconds of that last wod when Dean, out of no where, showed up to complete the run with me. God knows that every thing in me wanted to stop and walk, but Dean screamed "Don't stop now...suck it up, and when we turn this corner I want you to haul ass!" Dean, you don't know how much that meant to me, Thank you. And to Sam, who showed up out of now where, during the second wod, while I was doing the burpees, your voice stood out among them all. I didn't see you, but I heard you loud and clear "GET BACK DOWN THERE GIRL, JUST LIKE THAT!!"
It was so much fun competing along side all the fabulous ladies this weekend. You guys make me feel so strong and relentless :-)
We have a special group of people at our box, not only those who competed but all those who came to support! You guys are awesome.
Finally, Chase and Victoria....You guys are da bomb!! Now, on to the next one!
Correction--- Sam's run- 20 MILES not 25k! I'm so sorry Mr. Nix.
BREAKING NEWS...CFDC SHOCK THE WORLD TOUR TAKES TULSA BY STORM!!!
What an awesome weekend! Getting to train with and compete alongside all of our athletes was such an amazing experience. To everyone who made the trip to Tulsa...you'll never know how much it meant to have you there! Same goes to everyone who supported us along this journey and encouraged us every step of the way.
Noah is right, we're just scratching the surface! Can't wait to get back to work...on to the next one!
CFDC family,
I just wanted to drop yall a quick note to say how impressed I was / always am by not only your performances but your character. I absolutely agree with Dean's description of yall and this weekend. I also wanted to thank you all for cheering me on throughout the weekend. Your support was greatly appreciated and means more to me than you may realize.
In closing, I'd like to leave you with the following verse:
No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it. Hebrews 12:11
Keep on keeping on CFDC!!!!
I am really proud of you guys kicking some butt in Tulsa!! Proud to know you and proud to train with you!

What an unbelievable performance by all our athletes and a truly inspiring weekend! While your physical abilities amazed me, it was the mental fortitude each and every one of you showed over and over again that just blew me away. So many other spectators/
competitors asked us what was in the water at CFDC -- we weren't the only ones seeing and feeling the difference. THANK YOU competitors for showing up ready to take on the world, and CONGRATULATIONS to every one of you. It was awesome beyond words to witness.
Congrats to everyone who competed this weekend! You guys are awesome!
Jeff you are so win! Congrats on a great performance this weekend. It was our pleasure to cheer for you. Good luck at regionals.
Man o man, what to say. I had a blast this weekend at sectionals. Everyone's words of encouragement and support pushed me through to the other side. It's really cool to have such a great community of people right here in Dallas - wish I found out about you all sooner!
Jeff - It was great getting to meet you this weekend and to watch you compete...awesome job! We all consider you to be part of the CFDC family, can't wait to watch you at Regionals!
EL JEFFE!! For all of you who don't know who Jeff Reed is, I will now uncover the mystery that is the most humble man you will ever meet. You are part of the CFDC crew and you know that.
Wow . . . wow!! You guys killed it this weekend, awesome job everyone!!
I didn't get to witness it, but based on what I've seen & heard, I'm now convinced that Captain America wears a Chase Ingraham shirt when he works out!!
Keep up the great work everyone!!
Competitors:
This is YOUR moment. YOU earned it because YOU put in the sacrifice and the sweat equity to be where you are. If you haven't yet, take a moment to put everyone else aside and celebrate victory in competition with yourself.
by the way, had some questions about what happened this weekend and the results, here they are:

Have thought about the weekend off and on all day. Such an experience..not many words, really. I am proud and humbled by everyone that competed and those that came to cheer us on. Not a big fan of being in front of large crowds or having my pic taken. (conquered a few fears this weekend!) To look out on the crowd and see those familiar family faces was beyond helpful. Could hear your voices clearly!!! You guys are the best.
Coaches: awe-inspriring. You guys really are the very best. Sam-not forgetting your race..proud of you and thanks for hauling yourself to Tulsa afterwards. Was happy when you got there!
I am inspired by the ladies and men that competed and admire the support that we gave to each other all the way through. I am sure other people recognized the respect we all have for eachother. Love you guys.
JoDee went above and beyond the call of duty to help me get there with babysitting help (thanks to those that helped), driving me up there, feeding me and keeping my spirits up. She's awesome!
Jeff-didn't get to officially meet you but I was screaming for you!!!
Seriously, was another life changing type experience for me. Have to take those when we get the chance. Love this place.
WOW! This weekend confirmed what we already knew - that this gym has a lot of special people who are capable of amazing accomplishments! I am so proud of all of you and humbled to train alongside you. Congratulations, athletes!!!
Hunt, TX- Sectional athletes- for those of you that read my blog post- you know how I feel. You won by competing but the grit and determination you all showed is awe inspiring. There are many who watch quietly, never post or say a word and I promise your work is an inspiration.
I have to give a special shout out to the moms and dads who competed. For those with little kiddos like myself, the fact that you can perform at that level and make the committment and still be dedicated parents as you all are is just amazing. Setting an example for future generations and kicking a$$- I like that.
I'll never forget in my early days of Crossfit when Chase was just begining to morph into Cap't America/Terminator- Ant was watching him blaze through a work out and leaned over to SP and myself and said- "I think we are watching a machine develop here..."
Ranch WOD-
30# x 30- I have always wanted to know how many times I could bench my 3 year old. Lost grip of her booty and upper back as she was screaming- "Supergirl!!!"
14:51 run- go kart dirt track with Lissie (wife)
3:15 with Lissie
also, 2 mile gravel and field run in prep for Warrior Dash...
see you all in 6 days.
Wayne-o - "3:15 with Lissie"???
Maybe not everything you do on vacation needs to make the blog! haha
Deadlift 205# X 6
Partner Run w/ Mike 2400M 18:45? (I think)
Partner Burpees 60 w/ Mike 2:41. Great Work on all partner!
As for the weekend sectional participants. Each of you who competed are champions , the folks that came just to support are champions and all of CFDC is same.
By far the best training I've ever been a part of, largely because of great leadership and their collective passion for pushing us all to be our best.
Very Impressive showing, lots of talent and mentally tough athletes at this "box". On to the next one!
So amazing to witness the incredible talent and determination of our athletes last weekend!! Too proud for words of all who competed, including Sammy!
125x7 Tabata DL (58 total reps)
20:40 on run with Erica
3:02 on burpees with Erica
Okay, sorry its taken me so long to get on today!! But first and foremost, I do not endorse Twinkies as a staple recovery food post competition.
On a more serious note, I just have to say THANK YOU.
Thank you, to everyone here as CFDC. I really can not put into words what it means to me personally to read these things and to have such support from you all. From all your good luck wishes on the blog, to emails, texts, but lets not forget all of you who made the drive and showed up in Tulsa all I can say is... Wow. It is a special thing, when an event, 4 hours away from your gym feels like you have home court advantage. All of us are truly grateful and humbled, thank you guys.
All my fellow athletes and competitors, you guys were incredible, if it werent for you guys in the gym every day pushing each other to get better none of this would be possible. Every guy and girl out there gave it all, it was so inspiring to watch; from Michelle battling through every rep to Dean clawing through thrusters knowing full well what was at stake in front of him and coming through in the clutch. There were so many awe inspiring moments that I can not come to list everything, I am so proud to call you my teammates, but more importantly my friends. I love this place.
Thanks to everyone for all their kinds words or encouragement before, through out, and after the weekend. I am so thankful that God has blessed us with the ability to do such things and be on stage with some of the best athletes and better people I have ever met in my life. I cant say thank you enough.
Spencer, Sam, thank you guys for starting this place, it started as a humble little gym for people to better their fitness but now has grown into a humble little gym that breathes fire and brimstone, where people better their lives. Thank you.
I want to write so much but I honestly can not find the words today. Yesterday was pretty overwhelming and I think we are still trying to process everything that took place this weekend.
Much love from the bottom of my heart to all of you,
OTTNO,
Chase
Blood amazing pics...great hanging with you this weekend. Thanks for volunteering and thank you (and Geoff) for helping me not get lost repeatedly.
When I have some time to really reflect on this past weekend I will share my thoughts.
Suffice to say I am very proud to be associated with all of you.
the bromance, the sisterhood of the traveling lululemon tight shorts, the cfdc familia.
this week is official cfdc bonding week. if you see a fellow cfdc'er, you are ordered to hug it out or generate an elaborate hand shake, whether in public or at the gym. mandatory.
and then you must try to beat each other in a AQAP 10 burpee contest.
Love it Dean!
Went to NEW Whole Foods at lunch, who would have guessed that I would find a group of CFDC members???
This past weekend was so amazing on many levels. I feel so blessed to have witnessed such an amazing group of atheletes and to be a part of cheering all of you on!! It's really inspiring as I try to work towards some semblance of fitness. Someday maybe...
Today, I did what I could:
5 x 105X
20:22 run scaled to 400m, 2 x 200m, 4 x 100m. When I started in Sept 09, I hadn't run since the 7th grade, and I couldn't run 100m unbroken. Today I did! Baby steps, now on to 200m unbroken.
Didn't do burpees as I was about to meet pukie. I will do them later this afternoon with my US Marine study buddy outside of Bridwell Theological Library. We're going to get the research librarian to time us!
Eric - I was at the new Whole Foods at lunch!! Where were you guys? I was with the priest.
Rachel - I hate to oversimplify, sound like a cliche or steal from Nike, but JUST DO IT!
Forget the "Someday maybe" and believe in the "NOW".
You are in the best place in the world to achieve these goals and you can do it!
It was great getting to know you more this weekend.
Z
Oddly over by the bakery and prepared foods section, note that no gluten was consumed after last night's ice cream/girl scout cookie binge.
"Do yall see that gym with the guys with the funky socks? They are awesome."
"Wow...you guys really get after it down there in Dallas don't you."
Dude:#1 "So what did that Captain America dude get? That's what I need to beat."
Dude:#2 "10:14"
Dude:#1 "Shit"
(quotes overheard in Tulsa and not made up)
This morning 13:08 (I had an awesome partner).
165 x 5.
Dave-that's great. Didn't get to thank you personally for making the trek up there so THANKS!
erik: how many sleeves of thin mints again?
No Michelle, thank YOU.
I went with the samoas actually, crushed up on top of Dryers Girl Scout Samoa Ice Cream, I got through half the box with some help but I will round with the bits that were in the ice cream to 1 box.
I had a Heath Bar Blizzard somewhere in OK. Best ever!!!! JoDee slowed down long enough for us to stop! Pretty sure 3 hrs to get home might be a record. Girl can drive!
Oh don't worry I didn't pass up the blizzard yesterday either, chocolate EXTREME!!! The locals were giving us the stare as we had the constantly revolving door of CFDC people coming in as they passed by the DQ and saw car's they recognized. May have also been the loud laughing coming from our corner. All Bathroom humor!
Few things I learned this weekend:
First and foremost - Just how fortunate we are to belong to CFDC; what we have here is simply amazing
- Our family that made the journey with us - Thank you from the bottom of my heart - Team Mom Sam Z making the 8am run to get what we needed, Carin for making the coffee run, Blood for taking pictures, everyone for just being there as part of this amazing family - THANK YOU!!! The Team Dinner on Friday night and Saturday night were wonderful bonding.
Our Coaches - WOW training along side us and programing for us to get to this point... LOVE YOU!
To my CFDC Girls - It was an honor to compete alongside you this weekend. You all are so amazing and I love being a part of this. We are strong together :)
Thanks to everyone for your support!!!!
I think Endurance with heavy weight is the next thing to concur... Looking forward to the next advancement in programing....
Dave you missed: "Really, who hires a photographer with a mustache." Nice to meet you too.
Thanks for the encouragement Sam Z - I tried to Just Do It at my first 10am intro session. I started with the warm up and ran 800m (well, lumbered 800m) then somewhere on the 25th-30th burpee I met pukie. 5 times. And I had blacked out so I couldn't find the trash can or the loading dock.
And I am still here. So there. It was nice getting to know you too Sam Z. Here's my fav motto:
"Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever it is...put it into practice." Philippians 4:8-9.
Also - I'm in the process of posting 26 videos from this weekend's sectionals on YouTube channel LambRachel.
Sad day - my camera ran out of battery right before Captain America's 3:30 sled pull. FTL.
But I got some amazing WOD 1 and 3 action. The commentary is provided by me and Dave.
Anyone really computer/PC savvy? My laptop suddenly won't work--there's a dialog box that says: "Logon process has failed to create the security options dialog." And there's a big red and white X icon with "Failure - Security Options" next to it. I now have two Dells that are screwed up and neither is more than two years old. The laptop is not even a year old!!!! Please help, anyone!
Carrie that happened to me. You will have to call Dell and they will walk you through it- at a price of course!
Thanks Vic! Of course for a price, argh! Never buying a Dell again. It's Mac all the way from now on.
Anyone excited about the new Tron movie coming out?

In other news: 225# x 40 / 20:27 and 2:15 with Ark or Art...from Colorado Springs. Sorry man, post up your info so we can do a little cross blogging. Good working with you.
I have to echo Tyler Nicholson's facebook post from Saturday, "A man should never have to look beyond his closest friends to find his heroes." With you guys, I have more heroes than I know what to do with.
Sam, good job on the run.
Chase, Tron FTW, watched the original just last week. I think it was the foundation for the Matrix.
