chase - got some extremely important and serious questions for you - or anyone else that has ever done a triathlon.

actually a few questions.

someone i work with signed up for a sprint triathlon and i was intrigued because it had the word sprint in it.

1 - why do they lie and call it a sprint triathlon when they know damn well there is no sprinting in it?

2 - i would compete in a swim race if i wasn't afraid that i would drown. is it legal to wear arm floaties and a life vest?

3 - is it possible to use a bike with training wheels? i can ride a bike, but with me it is always safety first.

I probably should use training wheels, I might fall off less.

Seeing as how it's the end of the year I wanted to make a suggestion...

Take the time to look back at your workout journals, reflect on your goals for 2009, and set new goals for 2010. I for one have never set goals but it is a great way to keep yourself motivated and focused on the task at hand. We work hard everyday, why not set some goals so you can feel the sense of accomplishment and success!

Goals for 2010:
1. Be 100% healthy and back at it by May 1st
2. Finally do Fran and do it in under 5 min
3. Lower my Grace time to 2:30
4. Do skill work 3x a week (DU, HSPU, MU, Push/Pull ups, Burpees)
5. OHS - 225#, C&J - 235, Snatch-175#, BS-300#, FS-275#, DL-400#
6. sub 6min mile
7. Compete at ACO
8. Paleo Diet - with less cheat meals than Samuel D. Nix
9. Push myself to be the best athlete I can be and push others to do the same
10. Be better with names and helping others acheive their CrossFit Goals

As always your goals can be amended and changed throughout the year. Thank you all for being so welcoming at CFDC and I look forward to "DOING WORK" with each and every one of you in 2010!

For 2010 my goals are simple.
As for any goals I set they have to be specific, measurable and attainable. Keep those three things in mind when you guys set your goals

1. Commit to CrossFit - 5 days a week No Excuses!!
2. Go 100% Paleo and eat 3 meals a day
3. Meet everyone that goes to our gym
4. Compete in at least one Crossfit event in 2010
5. Rx all workouts

CrossFit has been one of the best things to happen to me so I can’t wait for 2010!!!

Learn how to do muscle ups! I'm sure it's easier than subbing 150 pullups and 150 ring dips!! Noon crew was FULL of energy and the box was BUMPING!! Way to end 2009 with torn up hands!!! Happy New Year EVERYONE!!

I"m with Dee! Number one goal...muscle ups by Sectionals! That works out was SICK! 41:45 but i couldn't finish the pull ups...my tears had tears and i was bleeding!

TO MY NOONERS (regular or visiting) you have made my 2009 amazing and I have so much to be grateful for. Thank you! Everyone have a Happy New Years and please be safe.

15:58 - Sub 1,3,5,7 MU. I should have done more MUs.

Happy new year to all. I've enjoyed many noon workout these past 2 weeks, but I'm also looking forward to getting back in the box with the Roosters starting on Monday.

Noah, good idea about setting new goals for 2010. I need to give some serious thought to this over the next few days, but for starters I need to keep a workout journal (other than posting most of my workouts here.)

G-Rant, you rocked this WOD Rx today.

31:?? sub 2/4/6/8 MUs. Got 5 on last and then finished MUs from knees. Spent a whole lot of time on failed MU attempts.
Big thanks to Tyler and team for the coaching. Helped a ton. Lots of room for improvement.

Looking forward to what lies ahead...

Happy New Year

Ouch, Jason - just ouch!
48:55, sub 3:1 pull-ups and dips, blue/green bands.

Then...got my first double-under! Granted, only one at a time, but progress!

John Jarrett - Dec 31 2009 - 06:07 PM

11:53 on Jason. 1-2-3-4 MU's on the bar (first WOD with MU's). Should have done more MU's.

I'll post my goals to the new years page.

However I just realized today that my goal for 5 unbroken MU's by sectionals is going to be a tall order.

22:39 Rx'd

Grant killed it!
Dean - 77 Chase - 76, the battle continues.
Sirkis - All good questions, I think if you were to use a boogie board instead of floaties it would be way cooler. You can ride any bike you want, I vote for a big wheel myself.

A very therapeutic 18:25 rx'd... Still haven't gotten that wrist pronation down so I can't claim full ROM
